Introduction

Objectives of

the Position: o Assist the Field Coordinator in the


coordination of Project Activities in La Gônave o Ensure the control, supervision and technical quality of project activities (watershed treatment and mangrove restoration).
o Maintain good collaborative relationships with fishermen's associations, community organizations, local authorities and other stakeholders.

o Facilitate liaison between the different stakeholders and the project
team.


Duties

Main Responsibilities:


o Assist the Coordinator in the planning of training and technical assistance activities for the benefit of associations and beneficiaries of the project;
o Provide direct technical assistance and coordinate the implementation of field activities such as: establishment of nurseries, monitoring of nurseries - planning and supervision of the establishment of soil conservation structures, participation in coastal zone assessments, multiplication of mangroves, etc.)
;
o Plan and make regular visits to project
sites;
o Make recommendations to the Project Coordinator on technical assistance to improve project
interventions;
o Assist in facilitating field assessments and surveys for the smooth running of the
project;
o Plan training activities on EbA (Adaptation to Basic Ecosystems) with the various stakeholders;

o Inform the Project Coordinator of any delays or constraints or irregularities in the implementation of field
activities;
o Supervise and ensure compliance with technical obligations and contribute to the implementation of the necessary measures to ensure that the expected results of the project are achieved;

o Carry out frequent visits to communities in order to stay in touch with projects and beneficiaries;

o Establish and maintain close relations with all participants and actors involved in the
project;
o Produce and submit monthly reports to the Project Coordinator on the progress of field
activities; o Make the necessary preparations and coordination for the realization of studies relating to the management

of coastal zones, blue economy plan, diagnosis, etc. o Respect and apply the standards, policies and administrative procedures of the PADF;


o Assist in the control and management of project resources in the
field;
o Perform any other task required for the smooth running of the Project and the
Organization;


Qualifications required

Knowledge and Skills:


o Holder of at least a Technician diploma in Agriculture, Agroforestry, Natural Resources Management or other similar disciplines;
o Have at least five years of work experience in Agroforestry, Agriculture, Community Development or other similar sectors;

o Have developed good working and collaborative relationships with local
organizations;
o Have experience in planning training sessions and in disseminating and implementing new
techniques;
o Have knowledge in community development and on notions of gender
equity;
o Have a good communication and negotiation
skills;
o Able to speak, read, write correctly French and Haitian
Creole;
o Be able to reside in the work area at La Gônave.
