Introduction

Objectives of

the Position: o Assist the Project Manager in the coordination of Project operations and activities;
o Ensure the control, supervision and technical quality of project
activities;
o Maintain good collaborative relationships with stakeholders, local elected officials, community-based organizations (CBOs), and community support groups (CSGs);

o Facilitate liaison between the various stakeholders, local authorities and CSG
members;


Duties

Main Responsibilities:


o Assist the Project Manager in the planning of field activities and the training of CSG members;
o Provide direct technical assistance in the supervision and implementation of project activities (mitigation activities, watershed management, canal cleaning, solid residue management monitoring, etc.);

o Plan and coordinate the execution of field
activities;
o Participate in the selection of beneficiaries of the various project
activities;
o Develop good working relationships with the various local actors;

o Plan and make regular visits to project
sites;
o Work in close collaboration with CSG members to monitor and support project
activities;
o Supervise and ensure compliance with the technical obligations of the work carried out by associations and/or partners of the project, and/or day labourers (such as cash for work, watershed management, etc.);

o Carry out frequent visits to communities in order to stay in touch with projects and beneficiaries;

o Establish and maintain close working relationships with all participants and actors involved in the
project;
o Contribute to the preparations and coordination necessary for the realization of baseline surveys and
studies;
o Produce and submit monthly reports to the Project Manager on the progress of field
activities;
o Comply with and apply PADF administrative standards, policies and
procedures;
o Assist in the control and management of project resources in the
field;
o Perform any other task required for the smooth running of the Project and the
Organization;


Qualifications required

Knowledge and Skills:


o Holder of at least a Technician diploma in Natural Resource Management, Road, Sanitation or any other similar discipline;
o Have at least five years of work experience in activities related to the above-mentioned disciplines;
o Have a capacity for


community mobilization o Have developed working and collaborative relationships with local organizations and/or associations;


o Have experience in planning training sessions, team management in labor-intensive work, and in the dissemination and implementation of new
techniques;
o Have knowledge in community development and on notions of gender
equity;
o Have a good communication and negotiation
skills;
o Able to speak, read, write correctly French and Haitian
Creole;
